Biography

Alan Dignon has enjoyed a 42-year career in supply chain development and management for leading companies in the consumer packaged goods industry. During his 25-years with Procter & Gamble, Mr. Dignon specialized in developing supply chains for new product lines and brands such as Olay Cosmetics as well as a dotcom spinoff. He also managed the supply aspects of integrating the Max Factor brand and the Noxell Company into Procter & Gamble.

Mr. Dignon’s post P&G career included executive positions for privately held and private equity owned companies including service as Vice President of Supply Chain for Kenra Professional, a provider of professional hair care products to the Salon industry, now part of the Henkel corporation.  During his tenure, Kenra doubled its sales and rapidly expanded its geographic reach using Customer/Supplier Operations Planning (CSOP) to coordinate the various outside supply components. Mr. Dignon was also instrumental in originally developing this CSOP process within the Foundation for Strategic Sourcing, a leading CPG industry trade organization. Since retiring from full time employment, Mr. Dignon provides supply chain consulting, primarily to companies focusing in the CPG arena.

Mr. Dignon’s substantial experience in managing and expanding supply chains has provided him with deep insights into both the structural and human components of successful collaboration. Combining these insights with his calm and engaging demeanor allows Mr. Dignon to assist parties in finding effective solutions to difficult problems.
