- Biography
Lynne has a broad and varied business background. She has been an owner of several businesses, and understands the many complexities and obstacles that can face business owners. As an owner of a General Construction company for over seven years in a difficult market, she understands the financial and legal challenges and issues facing contractors and sub-contractors. Also, Lynne has experience in landlord-tenant disputes.
As a city attorney, Lynne gained deep knowledge of municipal law, property tax disputes, and the licensing of many businesses, including liquor control applications. In private law practice, she handled dispute resolution, mediation and litigation for many types of business owners and contractors. Lynne understands the pressures facing business owners and contractors who have claims that are important to them, but may not be large enough to warrant additional dollars needed to litigate.
Lynne also has a substantial background in investment consulting. With 14 years in the investment and financial services industry, she understands the intricacies and ethical considerations of investment consulting. Lynne also understands that disputes over investments can take years to resolve and have uncertain outcomes.
Lynne is a warm and empathetic person who has learned to listen and to probe for the necessary details that will help move a dispute into a win-win resolution. She understands the loss of money, time and control suffered by the parties when attempting to resolve disputes through litigation. Her goal is to help people stay out of courtrooms, and to resolve issues and disputes quickly and with the highest possible degree of satisfaction for all involved.
- Testimonials
“I have had the opportunity to work with Lynne in several capacities over the past four to five years. Lynn possesses the skills and abilities that make her a particularly effective mediator. From her career experience as an attorney and financial advisor, she quickly understands her clients’ needs and conceptualizes solutions in a manner that her clients can embrace. Her approach to problems is both objective and creative, and she is patient — a quality that is essential in a successful mediator. Above all, Lynn is an active listener — when you interact with her, you know she is absorbing and processing what you are saying or trying to say. Lynn will bring a “win-win” perspective to the mediation experience, which will facilitate the participants toward a resolution that yields benefits for both.”
