A realtor for 27 years, Furhad Waquad is a well-rounded business professional whose energy and expertise have taken him to international real estate conferences in India, Paris, London and Brussels. Furhad was elected President of the Michigan Association of Realtors in 2007 and was Realtor of the Year in 2003. He is an Instructor in the Realtor Code of Ethics.
Active in his community and in politics, Furhad is a past President of the Pakistan Association of America and he served as Senior Vice President for the Pakistani American Congress. He has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and is a member of Inter-Faith Partners.
In addition to his specialty in residential real estate in the Detroit area, Furhad has served as a NAR mediator assisting parties to reach voluntary resolutions of difficult issues. He understands the need to listen and understand each party’s concerns. Furhad views mediation as one way that he can give back to the business community that he serves.
