Biography

Charlie Platipodis has more than 40 years of marketing, sales and executive management experience in the professional training and electronic security industries. As Vice President of Xerox Learning Systems and Senior VP of Sales for SecurityLink (now ADT), Charlie has worked with a wide variety of companies in the manufacturing, business services, and financial industries. He currently provides sales consulting and training services, assisting clients in creating competitive selling strategies and establishing frameworks for coaching and execution.

Charlie has spent his career helping businesses to reach new levels of effectiveness by establishing priorities and reconciling the interests of competing stakeholders. His experiences have put him on the frontline of business and strategic planning. He has participated in numerous client negotiations, problem solving, and despute resolution activities concerning customers and prospects.

Holding an MBA from Northwestern University as well as a Masters in Counseling Psychology from University of Missouri, Charlie has a professional’s eye for how personalities affect business interactions.   He brings a calming influence to difficult negotiations and is universally trusted and respected.

As an early member of the BMN team, Charlie played a key role in developing BMN’s Mediator Training program, which teaches the art of active listening and utilizes the problem-solving principles of highly successful consultative sales training techniques. A former college basketball player and life-long student of the game, Charlie once spent a week with legendary UCLA coach John Wooden learning his unique formula for success in sports, business and life.
